Thank You & What’s Next

Hello friends,

It is with immense gratitude and joy (and lingering fatigue) that we write to you today, reflecting on the incredible journey we embarked on thanks to your generous support. We appreciate your patience while we took a bit of time to recover and plot our next steps so we could provide you with a more substantial update.

THANK YOU

Thanks to your unwavering belief in our vision, we successfully took our first play, Artist/Muse, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary, and we owe it all to you. Your contribution was not just financial; it was a vote of confidence in our creative endeavours, and we are deeply appreciative. Your generosity enabled us to hire (and house, and feed, and maintain) three incredible actors, as well as some phenomenal creatives who played essential roles in bringing our story to life.

The Edinburgh Fringe was an incredible platform for Artist/Muse. It provided us with an opportunity to showcase our bold piece of new writing to a diverse and discerning audience at a supportive venue that were keen to ensure we were successful. Artist/Muse received an overwhelmingly positive response from both audiences and critics who saw it. The emotional depth of our story, the powerful performances of our actors, the striking design, and the thought-provoking themes clearly struck a chord. Overall, we did really well—particularly for a new company launching a new play—and our success was in no small part due to your support and belief in our project.

WHAT'S NEXT...

The journey doesn't end here. We are excited to share that we have had interest from a few programmers around the UK who saw Artist/Muse in Edinburgh, and we plan to develop the script into a full length play. The three of us have lots of ideas for how to grow the show and we very much look forward to sharing updates on its evolution with you all. But first, we are opening up WWWC membership to a new intake of writers to ensure we continue building on our Fringe success and cultivate more bold new writing from women and femme creatives. The future is looking very bright indeed!

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us bring Artist/Muse to life. Your belief in us has made all the difference, and we are truly grateful for your support. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you in the future.

Love Clarisse, Diana, and Tegan
